☠ World's Most Toxic - Animals, Plants & Mushrooms ☠
Poison Dart Frog
Nature is filled with many beautiful and wondrous species of animals, plants and mushrooms that can be seen around the world. Some of these species can be deadly to humans and other living things because of the toxic poison or venom they contain. This is a natural defense for some species so that they can survive in their natural habitat.
Some people are not aware that you don’t always have to be bit or stung by an animal to die from a toxin. Touching a frog, picking up a snail in the ocean or slightly bumping into a jellyfish you swam by can end up making you very sick or cause death. You also have to be careful not to eat plants that look edible or harmless because of their attractive appearance. There are plain looking plants that cause bad reactions when touched but some other beautiful flowering plants can be deadly if consumed. Sometimes, a common but deadly little wildflower gets mixed in with edible plants growing in a garden. This can create a horrible fate for the owner of the garden if the flower gets eaten with other garden plants. You have to be careful when choosing mushrooms to eat as well. Many toxic mushrooms are mistaken for edible species. Not knowing which mushroom you come across when looking for some to eat can be deadly. Some of the very common looking mushrooms you see when walking in the woods are also the deadliest, if consumed.
Remember, toxic species in nature are not out to get you. This is simply the way that some species are able to exist. If these groups of animals, plants and mushrooms did not have their toxic abilities to protect the species then they would be much more vulnerable to predation. Many more species would go extinct if none of them produced toxins for defense. You should always respect nature and remember that you are in other species homes when out in the wild or even in a park. Also, be careful to look where you walk since many tiny animals are slow at moving out of the way.
